How can I convince my parents to let me get a lip or nose piercing?

I just want a little loop in my lip, that's all, OR a little diamond stud in my nose, nothing huge.


They won't let me and refuse to listen when I try to explain how I would take it out around relatives and only wear it to school.


Is there any way I can convince them to let me get one? Any pros?

Hard to answer as you don't give your age which means you are under 18? Personally, I don't like lip, tongue or chin piercings, but the nose looks nice especially if it is as you say a little diamond, that shows class. Eyebrows are again not too good, as I think it is a sign of rebellion or the old 'look at me' syndrome. Give it very serious thought, the holes do not close up, it is permanent wound, treat yourself with respect. I have 4 holes in each ear and that's about my limit. good luckHow can I convince my parents to let me get a lip or nose piercing?

About the reply of people thinking you're a bad girl....


I have a stud in my nose and my lip and no one has come up to me thinking I am a bad girl. My appearance just isn't that of a ';bad girl';...I wear jeans and t-shirts just like the next girl without piercings.





Anyways....if your parents won't let you, they won't let you. Try to show them that you are responsible. Get your homework and chores done, don't cause drama between you and your parents, etc etc. But if that doesn't work, then you just have to deal with it. Believe me, no matter how old you are, 18 is just around the corner and comes a lot faster than you think it will. And then you can get whatever you want.
Wait until you're 18 and then they can't stop you.


Of course, by then you may have matured enough to realize that facial piercings are not always a wise career move.
I understand why they don't let you coz it makes ppl think ur kind of those bad girls wandering around the street. And news said that if you pierce you might get bad diseases or something....but tht is not really helping isn't it? Maybe ask for your b-day present....or just say maybe for the ear and you really piece on your tongue...then if they ask u where did you pierce it on ur ear...say tht u don't wan to...and when u talk don't let them see it...only advice..good luck! :)
