What temperature do you/your parents keep your house during the winter?

My parents always have it set at 70 degrees even in the winter. I'm not sure if that's normal for most people or not, but I'm always freezing! I'm wearing my jacket and slippers in the house all the time. =[ What temperature is your house usually? What temperature do you/your parents keep your house during the winter?

  • How do i persuade my parents to homeschool me?

I have asked my mum once and she said no because of money problems. Now she has health issues and is home a lot. Also I will get a chance to probably learn more from her then teachers and we will get a chance to bond. Any good websites that provide the education as well? I am quite bright so could even take my GCSE's early! Please need your advice! Check out my other two school questions please thankyou! How do i persuade my parents to homeschool me?

Stay in school. Use it as an opportunity to grow as a human being. No matter what your reason for wanting to stay at home with your Mom, there's a million reasons why you shouldn't.

How do you convince your parents to get a second dog when your mother already hates the first dog?

I love my dog with all my heart. My mom gets really stressed by him though.

My dad would love to get a second dog too, I can read it in his expression, but he won't say anything because he knows how my mom feels about it.

I do admit--my mom does do a lot of the dog work in the household but I would really like a second dog while I'm still alive and living with parents. How do you convince your parents to get a second dog when your mother already hates the first dog?
Come on, don't be selfish here. In this day and age, people are more likely to dump their dogs at shelters, not get new ones, simply due to lack of money. Couple that with the fact your mother does a lot of work around the house and I think you have a lot to be grateful for. You really are not in the position to ask for another dog.

While you're still alive? If you're still with your parents, you're not exactly a geriatric, are you? You'll have plenty of time to get another dog in years to come. If you love your dog with all your heart, please be grateful you still have it!

If have want a chance of getting another dog, the only way you will get around your mother is to stop acting lazy and bone-idle and start doing a bit of work for once. It won't kill you. Maybe then you'll see what hard work goes into it and you will understand that getting another dog is just not a good idea. How do you convince your parents to get a second dog when your mother already hates the first dog?
If your mom hates the first one, it'd be unfair to make her take care of a second one that causes her a lot of stress. If she does a lot for the current dog and doesn't enjoy it, then it's understandable that she doesn't want another. Talk to her about it. If she doesn't want one, then be happy with the one you currently have and wait until you can move out on your own and then get the second dog.
Unless you are going to drop dead soon you will have plenty of time to get a dog once you move out. You REALLY think your mother who is taking majority care of the dog YOU and your father wanted, is going to want a SECOND dog?

Take care of the dog you have now, apologize to your mother for being so lazy about it, thank her for NOT giving the dog away and then when you move out on your own get another dog.
Well, why don't you try to impress your mom by taking over ALL of the dog responsibilities so she feels assured that you can take care of everything? Prove it to her for a few weeks/months and maybe she'll change her mind.
lol i had the same problem with my mom

but just get the dog vaccinated and registered as yours so she cant make you get rid of it, its gonna take her awhile to get used to it but she will, my mom really hates dogs but we have 3 lol
I would try helping out around the house with taking care of the dog, by relieving your moms stress maybe she'll begin to appreciate the dog and want another one.
You should began to take care of your dog for a few months and prove to them you're ready!
Well unless you are doing all the dirty work and paying for your first dog's expenses, I'd say it isn't your choice.
Doesn't sound like a good idea!

How do I convince my parents to get me a horse?

I really want a horse and I already have 337 dollars. My parents do not think I am responsible but I am. I am willing to pay for everything including boarding I can get a job b/c I am old enough. How do I convince my parents to get me a horse?
First of all $337 goes fast when paying for a horse... My barn's board is $600 alone.... Think of all the other expenses tack, vets, farrier, lessons (which you must have before getting a horse), and lots of other equipment... I guess it depends where you live but in most places $337 doesn't pay for much. Ask your parents if you could share board a horse or pony and if they say yes prove to them that you are willing to take care of it. I work of lessons by helping at my barn and that shows my parents (that know nothing about horses) that i'm responsible and am willing to work for what i want. Also think about if you parents can afford a horse. The horses at my barn sell for over $300,000. Do you have siblings going to college (like me)? If so they have to spend enough money as it is don't try to pressure them into something. Do you have the time to ride almost everyday? What do you want to do with your horse?

Most likely you won't get a horse but try to spend as much time around them as possible =)How do I convince my parents to get me a horse?
Have you ever talked to your parents about renting one? That would be the best thing to do. Thats what i did and now we are looking for a horse for rent!

well i have horses and thats why i am answering this question well tell them this

mom dad i will show you i am responsible once you can show you are responsible for thinking i am responsible so if you can really trust me i can trust you but thats plan B so for plan A you say dad can you please buy me this horse and say i PROMISE i will take good care and will do everything you guys tell me to do and will make you so happy TRUST me this is the smartest thing you can do

oh and for plan C just begg for your horses life
do you have any other pets?

if you do take care of them don't let your parent do any work you do it yourself and show them that you are responsible also maybe they think you don't have enough money or something i say you should save up and then pay for like the the brushes and all the stuff you need

PS where are you going to put it?????
Well, there is obviously some reason your parents dont want you to have a horse. Why don't you continue saving until you are an adult to make sure you have a stable amount of money to pay for a horse. Have ou thought of all of the medical bills, food, grooming, etc? I know it would be cool to have a horse, but Maybe your parents just realize what a big responsibility it is. After all, its not exactly puppy.
You didn't mention anything about your riding experience, so I'll assume you have none? DO NOT even think about buying a horse without at least 2-3 years of reputable riding lessons under your belt. It's dangerous for both you and the horse. Trail riding does not count. So why don't you start out with a smaller goal, by just asking your parents for riding lessons?
It's not really convincing them your trying to do. You need to prove it to them. It is really hard. Horses are not cheap. You need to figure that out. If the horse get injuired then the horses recovery/surgery could cost an arm and a leg.

I would suggest you getting the job first. Make sure you can keep the job. After a few months of working at the job, then you should consider getting a horse.

But, I highly suggest you do a partial lease on a horse. Your not ready.
    TELL THEM THiS...

AND SAY iF U TRUST ME EN0UGH.

    Y0U W0ULD TRUST ME EN0UGH

    T0 KN0W THAT i CAN TAKE CARE 0F THiS H0RSE.

    U HAVE T0 SH0W THEM

BETTER DEN U CAN TELL THEM.
Could you borrow/rent one for a time? Show them how you take care of it.

How can I convince my parents that getting a horse is important?

I love horses and have forever i have been riding for 4 years and have wanted a horse.. now that im almost old enough to drive i want to take the next step and get a horse. money is not the problem it the fact that my parents dont think im dedecated enough and they just dont want to buy a horse. what can i do to convince them of my love of horses and how much i realy want one and the benifits of riding? How can I convince my parents that getting a horse is important?
    hard isnt it!!

we never had any money when i was younger. a horse was quite simply out of the question.

i had to wait till i was 35 before i was able to buy a horse.

unfortunately, unless you've stuck at things before, they'll assume that you'll be the same with a horse once the novelty has worn off!!

it really does take a lot of dedication! even now, when i'm really worn out and tired i can find it hard to find the extra energy, along with having to do everything else- single hardworking parent, dog, cats housework etc.

of course , i always see to her, but there are times when maybe you feel ill and you still have to battle your way to the field and do em.

if you believe you are responsible and dedicated enough , and realise there will be times when its hard, but you still have to go and see to them, then you can perhaps come to an agreement with your parents.

agree on a set amount of chores per day, and stick to it, even when you'd rather be off out or at the computer. if your parents ask you to do something, jump to it and get it done- dont moan, or tell them you'll do it later. all these little things with your attitude will make the difference to whether they'll think you are responsible or not

im afraid there's no quick fix to changing your parents mind, but over time you can make them realise that you have become a rresponsible person, who may actually be dedicated enough after all !!!How can I convince my parents that getting a horse is important?
I think the best thing is just to stop asking.

Show them how responsible you can be.

Maybe ask the ranch owner OR your lesson giver if you can do some extra chores like clean bridles or saddles or muck some stalls and clean water buckets in exchange for taking some money off of your lesson payment.

As a parent I want to be shown that my son or daughter could take responsibility and not just say they can.
My friend is having the same problem. What she's doing is she looks at horse ads all the time and always is showing her parents and is saying, '; Oh mom look at this one.'; Or, ';Dad, doesn't this guy seem like fun.'; And other things like that, and her parents are warming up to the idea. I hope this helps you out. My parents and I worked a deal where I could get one if I had good grades, paid for half of the horse, behaved myself, and I had to do chores at home before I can see my horse. Hopefully you can get a horse! They are a lot of fun. Good luck!
    try sponsoring one first!
Lease a horse (the more responsibilities you have to take care of for the horse and its care, the better) and use that to ';prove'; to them that you can and will take care of a horse. I assume you're taking lessons - if not, start immediately.

Don't feel too bad, most of us go through our whole childhood wishing for a horse but we never get one! Not til we make our own money, anyway.
It is a very good experience on responsibility. They may say, ';Oh, it is too much work';. Just turn that against them. Tell them that that is how you can prove to them you're responsible. Also, it teaches you a lot about taking care of living things, and patience. If you wanna ride, you get a GREAT workout.
keep yourself dedicated, they will notice and after they see its not a fad, ask again

How do i convince my parents to let me have an aquarium?

I have the space money and everything but they say i cant have a filtered tank. I already have an unfiltered tank. They say I dont take care of my pets but what they dont realize is how much maintenance I really do.How do i convince my parents to let me have an aquarium?
I know what you mean. I asked my parents for a bigger tank but they won't let me. You should prove to your parents in other ways that you are a responsible child. You should reseach and convince them that you are willing to learn a bit more about fish and enjoy them. Also, you have to keep in mind that if you get an aquarium, it's not a video game where if you loose, you get to start over. You can't start ove, you keep going and you never give up.

I would try and earn more money so you can have a big tank. You should reseach on what you need. You shoud also aske them what is bothering them with a filtered tank. If you already have an un filtered tank, try and put a filter in it. Be responsible. How do i convince my parents to let me have an aquarium?
keep nagging at them, they will soon give in, every day bring it up till they wear down! thats what me and my sister did for about a year and now we have a very much loved dog called pickle!
All tanks need to be filtered. If you have the money, start by putting a filter in it.Then move on from there,to try and get another tank.
ask for a filter. then the tank will be mega clean, and theyll think youre doing more work.
If you aren't taking care of what you have now...even though in your mind you do...they will never let you. And if you already DO a lot of maintenance and it is still not up to standards, then why would you even want an aquarium. Those poor fish.
Tell them you are going to start a fish market afterward...and that it'll make them a lot of money
Yeah many parents OUT THERE dont like FISHES. Now let them see what you do to your fishes so that your parents will be convinced.
Show that you can take better care of your fish by doing the normal tank changes/cleaning every week/month (depending on tank size), scrub the algae really good off the glass if any, and much much more. After a while of this good maintaining, your parents might decide when the best time is.
Aquariums require even more maintanance than cats and dogs, unless of course they are puppies or kittens. What I would personally do is make a list of all of the things that I did with taking care of my pets and then show it to them after a week or a month. Then they would know how much maintanence you did. You may want to step it up a notch too. Also, research is vital. Figure out everthing you need to know and more and plan out your aquarium. You will get one eventually if you truely want it enough. Also find out how much electricity it will use if they are concerned about it running up their electrical bill. Good luck with the guppies and the whole fish situation. And one more thing, research from books and the internet, don't rely on friends to do the entire thing for you. Btw, my molly just had a batch of fry, you can have some if you want!

How can I persuade my parents to let me have another kitten?

I have a cat at the moment, now a year old, called Furgus. But he always seems lonely and is having some trouble outside with other cats. I want to get a girl cat, he's neutered don't worry, just to give him some company like himself.

We leave him alone when I go to school, as does my brother and my parents work. I don't want him to be lonely, but I have no idea how to even bring up the subject.

We're quite short on money because of everything we do...Any ideas? How can I persuade my parents to let me have another kitten?
Would'nt worry about Furgus,he'll be alright with other cats.Actually he's more likely to be aggresive to a new kitten. He'll want to dominateHow can I persuade my parents to let me have another kitten?
    Simple.Show that you are responsible.

    Good luck!:)
I'd just get it. Once the thing's settled in they'll feel like jerks if they try to make you get rid of it. It's easier to apologize than to ask permission.

Wait for Christmas to come. It will either come to you as a present, OR you will accumulate enough gift money to buy one.

How do I convince my parents to let me and my older brother get another dog?

We already have a female German Short-haired Pointer that has already been neutered. But we want to get a male Boxer. I'm not sure if my parents are totally into the idea. We haven't exactly talked about it as a family. What kind of things should we say?How do I convince my parents to let me and my older brother get another dog?
Simple you and your brother ask your parents if its possible for you to get a boxer to add tot he family. If they say no you and your brother accept that no and enjoy life with your pointer.

IF they say yes or we'll think about it find a local boxer rescue in your area. They may be more inclined to adopt an older dog who is fixed, housetrained and UTD on shots than a pup that has to be trained.

You and your brother WILL pay the adopting fee and for the things you will need for the dog, his own bowls, crate collar leash etc. IF you guys want this dog you have to be willing to fork over the cash for it.How do I convince my parents to let me and my older brother get another dog?
Me and my older sister tried the same thing, but it didn't go very well.

but from those mistakes we learned from it though. 1.you have to do some research on male boxers. then talk to your brother and tell your parent's how great it would be to always have two dog's instead of just one. Then you show them how lonely your dog is, and how much fun it would be to have a boxer around all the time. The final step is to go to the pet store that you got your german short-haired Pointer. And then you will finaly have your new dog.
Your parents own house or pay rent, they pay all of the bills and buy the food. So it would be up to them to pay expenses for another dog.

all the begging in the world wont help so just let it go,

Besides you already have a dog so just enjoy it.
I once wrote an essay on why I should get a parakeet and I gave it to my parents. IT TOTALLY WORKED! I know I am such a nerd right. But hey I got my parakeet. lol.
maybe since you already have an extremely energetic dog not to get a boxer they are also very energetic and may be too much to handle.
look up a good dog breed for your lifestyle and show your parents that you are responsible

    good luck !!!!

    it worked with mee
take extra care of your old dog to show you are responsible

How do i get my parents to at least consider home schooling?

Honestly, I hate school! I hate sitting in classes hours a day. Now that I have found an online school that is FREE! They won't even speak about it! One of my parents stay at home, so they would supervise. They say that i have to stay in school because some scholarship require a certain amount of hours ';sitting in a classroom';, but online school offers scholarship also! Please help! How do i get my parents to at least consider home schooling?
I am a home-schooler and I am envolved with things all the time.

Girl scouts, youth group, science and art class (outside of home, with home-schoolers.) And soccer. I also go to Friday School.

There are more options for homeschoolers, like clubs and such. You should teel your mom or relative you REALLY don't like being home-schooled, or you have to search for clubs and everything that involve home-schoolers. I am not anti-social.

Anyone who says that you will miss out on the vital stuff in life, your wrong. You haven't even researched.

My mother was responcible and looked and searched for the best options for me to have a well rounded life.

I am in Highschool, and homeschoolers even have proms, everything a normal highschooler can have and even more, (sometimes) we also have more free time on our hand, and I have 13 friends, and interact with about 50-65 people a week, and more, with all the events we go to.

I have school at 6:30-11:00, and learn 9 subjects.

You shouldn't just go online, see a place where they teach online, and expect to go on it. It's not homeschooling, it's just sitting on the computer all day.

    laughter_eve...

you are so wrong about home-schoolers not getting scholar ships.

We take testing. And if you don't pass well...obviously you aren't studying. If you do pass above level, you might get a scholarship. There are ways to gauge it. You just don't know. How do i get my parents to at least consider home schooling?
HOME SCHOOLING SUCKS. YOU JUST SIT AROUND YOUR HOUSE ALL DAY BEING TAUGHT. YOU DON'T GET TO SEE ANY FRIENDS ALL DAY. YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE HOME SCHOOLED, IT'S FOR RETARDS.
really i think you going for home schooling will be a bit dangerous as of know you will miss very vital things .you just cant compare being in class with what you are about to do please get down to business and go to school to start all over again you may change school by this i mean that you get a transfer
stay in school later in life you will regret not having the social aspect of school. Its not all about the books your education that is its also about learning to deal with your peers which is a skill you will need to be successfully in life
While I don't think I'd personally choose the homeschool route, I might try making a pro's and con's list to share with my parents.

On the pro's list, write everything that would be good about doing the homeschooling, and on the con's write everything you think would be bad. Allow your parents to add to the list and think about it with you.
Your parents are right if you are a senior some scholarships and admissions are based on the ranking you have in your graduating class.

However, find some information on the success of home schooled children. Find real information on statistics, etc. If you do your homework (pun), you may be able to show them that your decision could be a good one.

Remember though, Social skills are important too though. You will also need some hobbies or church groups or something to prove that you are becoming 'well rounded'.

Home schooling is definately not a bad schooling program. I know many people who have done it and their kids are just as smart if not smarter than others.
Sorry but this is up to yo ur aprents, any sort of home schooling requires a big commitment from the parents, and some parents dont feel up to the responsibility.
online schools can't teach you, they can only tutor you. when you are stuck on a calculus problem, its easyer to go to a teacher than some website. Youll probably just watch porn the whole day anyway
The online school might offer a scholarship to the online school, but I am pretty sure that you parents are talking about scholarships offered by universities. For the most part, Universities are not impressed by home-schooling. They have no way to guage it. Furthermore, universities don't just want some geek who can sit in front of a computer, they are looking for people who can survive in college because of socialization brought about by sitting in class, and hanging in the lunch room and sports and group projects and all that comes with it. As to the parent that stays home and could supervise, generally such parents do not have much free time. Running a household is very time consuming and in a home-schooling environment, the parent is not just the superviser, the parent is the teacher. The online service essentially guides the process, but the parent must act as teacher. What I would suggest is to try to find a way to make school tolerable. It could be sports or dating or the chess club or skateboarding, but find a way to mix some fun stuff in to your day. I found elaborate practical jokes and pranks helped pass the time when I was in school, back before the earth cooled.
why don't you explain to them you would learn more they could spend more time with you. They could keep track of your work and what you are doing.
home schooling sucks big time i have been for 5 grades or so and hate it, there is no one to talk to, like friends and you get left out of a lot of things cause it happened right after school. I'm still fighting my parents to let me go to regular school, so don't even bother trying it, you'll get bored and eventually depressed. now before i get too mad I'm stopping cause I'll go on forever about this.
Show them these links and try to explain the benefits of home schooling and the wide of subjects covered by the net. good luck.

How do I convince my parents to get me a digital camera?

I'm going on a really cool trip soon so I decided it would be the perfect time to ask for one, even though I've wanted one for a while already. I'm getting low on cash so I can't pay for it myself and I can't wait to make more money. I need one desperately! The trip is really soon! I already know which one i want, and it's only $130! 7 megapix! How do I convince my parents to get me a digital camera?
Do your homework. Go on Yahoo Shopping and do a side-by-side comparison of different digital cameras, including the one you want, and print it out. This will show your parents that you have really investigated and know what you are talking about.

Propose to them to sign a contract to pay them back for the phone within a certain amount of time. You should be willing to give up the phone and/or something else of value that you have if you don't pay it back in this time frame.

Make a list of chores and ask your parents how much each one is worth. Be willing to work it off or pay it back.

The key is that you have to follow through and really pay them back. If you do, they will be more willing to help you out in the future. If they are financially unable to buy you the camera (don't forget the accessories you will need : memory stick, charger), ask them if it's okay to approach another family member for a loan.

Good Luck! I hope it works out for you.How do I convince my parents to get me a digital camera?
Give them how much money you have, tell them you'll owe them back later, and maybe they might let you have it, you can even say you don't want a birthday present and a christmas present, and you'd rather have that camera and all the accessories that you need with it.

(You'll need alot like rechargable battereis, memory card, etc.)
if your parents feel as though they got the best price then they'll most likely be happy about making a purchase, tell them, to check out http://www.ipodstoday.com they research home electronic suppliers and then direct you to the compant that has the best deals.
    try this

-earn money around the neighbor hood and little jobs in the house.

-show you are responsible if you have a pet clean up after it and bathe it

    - go on ebay and search for canon powershot a560 (its a really good camera i know because i have 1!)

-there is 1 for $117 if you have enough just ask them for it and mmention the good qualities... its got 7.1 megapixels and a 2.5'; LCD, and you can make movies! become a youtube star!

-tell them how responsible you are and mention what youve done and how good youll take care of it.

-all they need to do is pay for shipping and rechargable batteries (energizer) and a memory card ( get 2gb you take 1001 pics : sandisk)

How do I get my parents to get me a puppy?

I know i already have 2 dogs but i want to have a small dog. They said I could get one if we move to a bigger house but that's probably not going to happen. Please help! How do I get my parents to get me a puppy?
You can't. They already said no. You're living under your parent's roof, so it's your parent's rules. You can do whatever you want when you move out, it's worth the wait! I realize that this isn't the answer you wanted, and I'm sorry, but it's the truth. How do I get my parents to get me a puppy?
    i hate these situations.

i tried alot of things like

    -writing a persuasive paper

-begging %26lt;- i would NOT suggest this

-stop asking and give them time to think

but finally we came up with a solution. we started out with a month before we could get a puppy. every time i did what i was told and did all my chores, i got a day taken out of that month. every time i was bad i got a day added. eventually i was down to 10 days and we went to look at the dogs at the pound and got the cutest puppy the very next day[:
Sorry, it's your parents house. You have to follow their rules. You already have 2 dogs why do you need another one? Might as well wait till you guys get a bigger house or when you move out. I don't even have a dog! I'm still trying to plan things out.

    Sorry.
no is no. respect your parents. they probably don't want another mutt running around and causing trouble. and maybe they don't want one. think about it.............
Just wait until they move into a bigger house,or until you get your own house.

You need to respect them, and you already have 2 dogs.

  • How can I convince my parents to let me have a dog?

I'm 11 years old, and I really want to get a dog. I actually want to get a siberian huskey, because I know a lot about them and they are really cool. I'm free to take them running at least 3 times a day, and I'm willing to train it and everything. My mom sort of agrees with the idea, but my dad is the problem. He says he doesn't want a dog because one time when we were dogsitting a beagle, it dug holes in the backyard, killed the grass, and puked in the car. Buying it isn't really the problem; it's just the fact of taking care of it. What can I tell my dad to really get him to let me get one for my birthday? How can I convince my parents to let me have a dog?
Try volunteering at the local animal shelter or a vet's office. They'll see your dedication and you'll get some experience while you're at it. That's what my brother did at your age and now he has Scrappy! How can I convince my parents to let me have a dog?
Well I am only 12! I had to deal with a problem like that before on getting a boxer! I started to earn the money and started to babysit more to get my parents thinking I am responsible! After I earned about a hundred dollars my parents gave in because they thought I was pushing myself too hard in working! This is what you need to do:

1.Act more mature than you already are!

2.Earn a little bit of greens!

3.Try taking care of a neighbors dog ny going on doggie duty(poop)

4.Don't go on about...but all my friends have a dog!
11 year olds are NOT prepared to deal with a siberian husky,,, they bark, they shed like crazy , they are not easily trained and they love to dig, run off etc.. this breed is for more experienced dog people

    sorry
you just need to let them know you can be responsible
tell them the positive things about having a dog like they take care of the house when nobody is home and stuff like that

i wouldnt get a siberian husky if i were you cuz they are really hard to train
sit him down and tell him everything you know about them and taking care of dogs give himwebsites and books about them.....like a report and hopefully he will believe you and you wil get your puppy.

good luck and best of wishes this worked on my dad im 13 and i have 3 dogs 2 turtles and three sugar gliders. let me know please.
the best way to convince your dad is to show him that you are very responsible.you need to start doing chores like washing the dishes %26amp; cleaning your room, ect.i think the problem your dad has is that he dosen't know thAT you are responsible.also those kinds of dogs are BIG!!!you should maybe head in a smaller direction.you have to tell him how much you want it %26amp; how much you will take care of it.anyways hope that helps!
volunteer working with animals...you may need parental supervision at some shelters since you are eleven. this may also open your eyes to how difficult a breed huskies are...they are very pretty but they are incredible athletes and not (though i know many who are) pets in a fawning kind of way.

maybe your dad has another reason for not wanting a dog. also remember that though now you have time but seven years down the road you'll have a car ect. Will you have time then?
when i was your age and wanted a dog, but my mom didn't think we could care for it.. we had to show her that we could by doing all the things they asked us on a daily basis to do without being asked.. like cleaning my room, the dishes and laundry, etc.. it took a while but we finally got a dog.. but i do agree that a husky is going to be a lot of work and if your dad doesn't like dogs that dig.. you may want to look at another breed
You should start doing things like mowing the lawn or cleaning your room without being told so that he can see how responsible you are and he'll buy that Siberian husky for your birthday.

How do I get my parents to let me go to a Coldplay concert?

They are playing at Susquehanna bank center on 5/26 and i have enough money and i plan on taking them and all that neat stuff. Problem is, they don't want me going, but don't seem to explain why. What's wrong? How do I try and let them let me go?How do I get my parents to let me go to a Coldplay concert?
Politely ask why they don't want you to go, and then try to fix the problem.

Maybe they don't want to go to the concert with you - in which case, ask somebody else that your parents trust.

But if they continue to say no, don't nag and just give up on the idea, gracefully. If you act mature about it, they'll be more favourable next time you ask for something. How do I get my parents to let me go to a Coldplay concert?
You don't. If they say no then no it is. They are your parents and their rule is law. just remember, you may have the money yourself to go, but they provide your home and your food and clothes. Show some respect and give this one to them.
show them that you deserve it. i mean its coldplay everyone deserves it=]

How do I convince a parent that they need to start budgeting?

My father is horrible with money, he needs to start using a budget, but refuses to let me help him with it. He is pretty far in debt, tooHow do I convince a parent that they need to start budgeting?
Sit down with him and explain to him your concerns. Either he listens or he does not.

How do I convince my parents to let me get my bellybutton pierced?

Okay so I'm 14 and my mom is going to let me get my nose and eyebrow pierced but not my navel as she thinks it will get infected. I take good care of my ear piercings and am paying for the piercings myself. So I just need to assure her it is safe .Help Please? How do I convince my parents to let me get my bellybutton pierced?
Your navel would become infected if you aren't diligent in your cleaning and care of it. This piercing is temperamental, and can get infected or irritated easily. I'd get the other piercings you want, take good care of them and demonstrate that you can handle the piercing aftercare. If you still want the navel, ask for it after that. That way, you've demonstrated responsibility and patience. It will give your mom a positive example to base her decision on.How do I convince my parents to let me get my bellybutton pierced?
WEll for one look for something that is labeled disinfecting spray or something. IT doesn't matter if it doesn't work. Theres not a high percentage and if it does work, great! I'm a guy of 13 with a sister that my mom didn't let her ears pierced. When she did, she got infected and it hurt like... um never mind. I didn't have a lot of fun waiting in the emergency room. Thats what your parents are trying to protect you from. So if you're getting it pierced please don't be careless. Wash your ear or belly button or something.

P.S. The emergency was waiting for a few hours due to serioius cases. We didn't get much out of it either.

What would happen if my parents caught me with a pair of pantyhose on?

I'm 15, and I love pantyhose! I love seeing girls wearing them, and even rubbing their legs in them. My sister wears them with skirts, and I am totally jealous that she's a girl and she gets to wear them. I have tried pantyhose on a few times, and I really like how they feel on myself. I'm thinking about wearing a pair under my pants one day soon. What would happen if my parents caught me with pantyhose? How do you think each parent would react? What would happen if my parents caught me with a pair of pantyhose on?
Well, it depends on how conservative your parents are, and what their beliefs are. I can't imagine that it would be a positive reaction in any situation, as sad as that is. :/

There's too many gender-specifics for pointless things today :(

Just try your best not to get caught, but if you do wear them, be prepared for it. You might want to try to come up with some sort of excuse as to why you're wearing them, just for their sake if they DID see them.

As long as you wear skin-toned ones, I don't see how they'd really notice. :)

Ha! Prepared for the fifty thumbs-downs I'm about to get. :)

Good luck! :)What would happen if my parents caught me with a pair of pantyhose on?
Difficult to tell. I don't know your parents. But chances are that they will not react in a favorable way. The best thing is probably to keep it to yourself. I don't think there is anything wrong with it that you love pantyhose. It's quite normal, pantyhose are wonderful and great to wear. I take it you are a guy. Well there are plenty guys who love pantyhose and wear them. So by all means wear them under your pants etc. and there is nothing wrong with enjoying that. I can't see any valid reason why only women should be entitled to wear pantyhose, in fact I think they should be fully accepted as a unisex garment.
You question was a bit unusual.....

    Are you a guy?

If you are, I think it would be really weird for your friends and your parents.

But it's all up to you and your personal comfort. Who cares about what other people think. It's about what you think about yourself.

Except, don't get too cocky, or flaunt your pantyhose legs... Then that's just weird.
Your parents know you just as you know them. I'm sure you have a good idea of their response.

My mom found a few pairs ';hidden'; in my room. She confronted me about it, I said I didn't know how they got there, and it was left alone. I did however get told to not let it happen again. They knew I flew straight but always was an inquisitive person.
umm...it depends if your parents are homophobic. They might find it pretty strange and they might think you are gay. And if you are, you may want to consider telling them before they find out by you wearing a girl's garment... :)

    Hope i helped!!

    P.S. Please answer my question:http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;…
if you ';borrowed'; them from your mom or sister they may be mad. i dont know them so they may think you have a fetish, a crossdresser, or gay. you will find out when you get discovered. most parents would try to keep it quiet
They might become concerned about a variety of things. But if it's just a curiosity thing, then I don't know. To me, it sounds like this is a fetish or something for you right now.
don't wear them - pantyhose are for women. we don't know what ur parents r like so we don't know how they'll react to seeing u in women's underwear.
uhh they would probly be shocked..

but hay you could say you lost a bet and you had a choice to either wear a skirt or panty hose! lol!
Hey, go for it. If they find out and they're angry, tell them you lost a bet.
all depends on how open minded your parents are.
Um, if they were my parents- they'd probably make u take them off and talk to u about it. They would think ur gay
um im pretty sure they would think that you are gay.

though maybe you could tell them you lost a bet or it was a dare
    this is a joke right
wow. well personally i find pantyhose very uncomfortable! lol i think you parents would think your a little gay if they caught you with em on. dude try leggings, way more comfy
Do what you want but your parent would probably think you were gay, or they'll never let you live it down...think before you do.
They might send you to a camp that turns you straight because they might think your gay.
i don't even think girls should wear them!

i'm sure they'd think its a little strange.
    ummm dont wear pantyhose

    end of story
    GET A LIFE.
    GAYY!

i don't even like wearing them and i'm a girl
you are defff a creepp :|
