How do I convince my parents to get me a digital camera?

I'm going on a really cool trip soon so I decided it would be the perfect time to ask for one, even though I've wanted one for a while already. I'm getting low on cash so I can't pay for it myself and I can't wait to make more money. I need one desperately! The trip is really soon! I already know which one i want, and it's only $130! 7 megapix!How do I convince my parents to get me a digital camera?
Do your homework. Go on Yahoo Shopping and do a side-by-side comparison of different digital cameras, including the one you want, and print it out. This will show your parents that you have really investigated and know what you are talking about.





Propose to them to sign a contract to pay them back for the phone within a certain amount of time. You should be willing to give up the phone and/or something else of value that you have if you don't pay it back in this time frame.


Make a list of chores and ask your parents how much each one is worth. Be willing to work it off or pay it back.





The key is that you have to follow through and really pay them back. If you do, they will be more willing to help you out in the future. If they are financially unable to buy you the camera (don't forget the accessories you will need : memory stick, charger), ask them if it's okay to approach another family member for a loan.

Give them how much money you have, tell them you'll owe them back later, and maybe they might let you have it, you can even say you don't want a birthday present and a christmas present, and you'd rather have that camera and all the accessories that you need with it.

-tell them how responsible you are and mention what youve done and how good youll take care of it.
