How can i convince my parents to let me buy world of warcraft?

They don't care about any of the content of the game, its just they think it will get me really addicted. I played a demo and I didn't get addicted at all. My parents are stubborn sometimes, but can anyone help me find a reason to be allowed to play?

Unless your one of those people who's really good at doing things in moderation, you will get a addicted. I'm a moderate player but I have friends who go absolutely crazy about it. They raid every night for 5 hours and spend more hours in arenas/battlegrounds.

Trust me, the game is addicting if you have friends who play. If your friends don't play WoW, though, you'll find yourself quickly getting bored of it, because it's just another rat-killing game (what you do doesn't affect the world you interact. a.k.a., no matter how many rats you kill, there'll always be more rats, and you lose that feeling of accomplishment that most other games have).





If you want to go for cheesy points, tell them that it helps improve your social interaction skills =P
Well..It can be addicting, it all depends on your social life. If you get good grades and hang out with your friends often, chances are you wont get addicted. Try and cut a deal with them. For example:





You: Mom (or dad) What if I tried playing for a month or two and see how it affects me? If my grades suffer or i spend all my free time inside, ill quit, if not maybe you'll let me play.





Or something to that effect. Just my suggestion. Be forewarned though, the game has an addiction rate close to that of heroin. If you have an addictive personality it may not be the best idea for you to subscribe to it in the first place.
trust you will get addicted to it i know friends who all they talk is wow which i get pissed of. no they arent nerdy they avg people like me and you dont waste your time on it trust me go outside enjoy your life wasted on W.O.W get a GF chills out with friends dont make that mistake!!
Tough, tell em that if they buy the game it will keep you distracted from bad things, like heroin and stuff you don't smoke, and it will keep you from making stupid teenage stuff or preteen stuff
Teach them to use parental controls so they can ban you from it if they wish - giving them this security may help their decision.
Tell them you didn't get addicted but you are interested in the full version of the game.
