Unless you own the house you have no right to ask them to leave it. Most parents can go out and come back and leave you to your privacy but do not expect them to just up and take off for 2 days. They have a legal responsibility if anyone at your party drinks and drives.
If you do that there going to think you have something to hide and maybe you do? You may ask them to stay in the upstairs or downstairs, or maybe bedroom. That way they will still be home if the police come or the house gets set on fire. It will make them feel like they have some control over the situation.
That's a pretty bold request considering it is THEIR HOUSE.
Why do you just rent a cottage for the weekend, then you won't have to worry about it.
tell them maturely hoping they understand ( which they probably will)
or give them like a trip somewhere far away like a cruise or drop em off at a relatives house telling them to enjoy themselves and everyone wins
you don't.
you ASK them. It's their house; they let you live there.
You should probably make sure they're willing to allow you to have this party, too.
if your 21 you shouldnt be living at home still...
but just ask them to leave, or plan the party around a weekend that they are going away.
send them away for the weekend...
that way they are all buttered up ! You can have fun, and your parents can too.
tell them that they're old and no fun, then give em both a sift kick right out the door
