How can I tell my parents about my piercing?

I pierced my cartilage and have hid it for a month and a half. I haven't figured out how to tell them. It's healing just fine and don't tell me how I should have got it done professionally. I know it was pretty stupid, but my parents think that piercings look trashy and only let me get my ear lobes done. How do you think I should tell them? How can I tell my parents about my piercing?
To actually bring it up, I was a fan of not saying anything but not hiding it, and waiting for them to say something. Best thing to keep in mind, is that your body is your body... though if you still live at home, they are still partially responsible for it/you and you need to respect and appreciate that. Once you've got them talking about it, show them this, and tell them you've read it too. (you might want to read it too :P)

Explain to them that you already have the piercing, and that you aren't/don't look trashy. Tell them that you like it, and all of the things that you do honestly like about it, and why you should keep it.How can I tell my parents about my piercing?
Firstly, how old are you? Age is an important factor when you're dealing with parents. If you're 14-16, telling your parents in a matter-of-fact kind of way would seem irresponsible even if the piercing is healing well. If you're 17, (I would say 18, except I doubt you'd have to worry about your parent's opinions then), and the piercing is healing well, your parents might see it as you're trying to be responsible. I would just ask them to talk and then tell them straight out. There's no point in hiding a piercing constantly, that defeats the whole purpose of having one. If you list out all the reasons why you want to keep the piercing and state them in a thoughtful, logical way, there's no way they could think of your modification as trashy. Good luck!
Tell which ever parent your closest with and tell them if they can tell the other parent for you. And then later when you know they told them talk to them both and apoligize, and that you will always look into your caeer and future. And study at school like crazy so they can believe you. Hope I helped, goodluck
just straight up tell them about it.

What's the worse that could happen?

Or you could not tell them about it, but make it obvious that it's there and they'll find out on their own.

Answer my piercing question plz?

wait until your sure you can take it out and it won't close over that way if they tell you to take it out you can still put it in when your not at home.
