How do I convince my parents to let me study abroad to New Zealand or Great Britian?

I've been talking about going to New Zealand for like 6 or 7 months and my parents keep avoiding the subject. My parents are divorced but I really only need to convince my mom. How do I?


How do I convince my parents to let me study abroad to New Zealand or Great Britian?
I am planning to go to New Zealand for a year for my grade 12 year, and my parents are all for it, they used to live in New Zealand and say it is a beautiful country, the people are amazingly friendly, and it is very safe. Just tell your mom how much you want to go and, read up about New Zealand and tell her lots about it, eventually she will probably see how much this means to you and let you go. Another point is depending on how old you are she can't really stop you from going, maybe look at an educational exchange or something, if it's for school maybe she will decide it's a good idea. They might be avoiding the question because they feel they are losing a little bit of you. But go for it! It would be a life changing experience!
