I have been issued a summon to appear in court in exactly a week for truancy. I am a minor, and my father works out of town (more than 4,000 miles away). Where is your mother in all this? If your father is leaving you at home alone for more than a week, the courts might decide he's guilty of child neglect! You better have him call the courts to work out a date that he can attend.
