They say it's to much and I keep telling them I can go on scholarships and they change it to a different subject. How can I make them want me go to boarding school? I really want to go.How can I convince my parents to let me to go to boarding school?

I think you can tell your parents that in a boarding school you will learn a sense of responsibility and to be more social you will learn a lot of things on your own.

How do I convince my parents to let me have a bird?

Okay so.....A friend of mine had 2 birds and they had babies and I became emotionally attached to one of them. I named her Lucy, and I adore her! The bird, cage, and the first bag of food is provided for free. I dont know if my mom has an issue because her bird was killed a few years ago. Even when my dad states his issue and I have a solution, he seems sure I haven't.


BTW I have tried showing them I'm responsible, I will continue to do that.How do I convince my parents to let me have a bird?

See if your friend will let you ';try out'; the bird for a week or 2. Do a good job of caring for it to show you can handle havign the bird and hopefully your parents will get somewhat attached in the process as well.
try to write for them a persuasive letter about birds and tell them the advantages of having a bird and support them with facts

i had the same pro but once we got my bird it made our house hold so much funner... tell ur dad that u need to learn how to look after a pet the hard way...he will let u have it

Convince them that you are responsible enough to take care of the dog, feed it, bathe it, walk it, and clean up after it. Make sure you convince them that they will have to do nothing for the dog that will do EVERYTHING, you will work with it to potty train it, not to make messes, and to listen and do what its told. Parents don't like pets because its basically something else they have to take care of, another kid. Talk to your parents about why you want another pet, and explain what you are willing to do to participate in its care. Alot of times children make all these promises about taking the dog for walks, feeding, cleaning up after it etc and they never come through with their promises. All of the pet care is then on Mom/Dad. As you know, dogs need daily attention, food, water, love, exercise. Good Luck!

I've got the BEST PLAN- show them how responsible you are by renting your OWN apartment, paying all of your OWN bills and paying for/caring for a puppy on your OWN. I'm sure they won't object then.
keep bugging them but you already have a dog so not sure why you really need to have another one? Reality is when you go away to college the dog becomes their problem.

Hamsters are a very good way to hold responsibility.


They are like your own child in the way that you have to feed it let it play and get exersice.


When you tell your parents that you want a hamster tell them that you would like somthing that YOU can take care of something that YOU can be responsible for.


Also Hamsters aren't a huge bother. They are perfectly content just running around on thier wheel.


Hamsters also aren't like other animals most place like i said before allow small animal(excluding ferrets) because they don't need to be left out of their cage for hours and they also arn't noisy.

Show them justification. If you live in an unsafe neighborhood, show them the crime statistics and how it could be used as a safety net. If you want one just for fun, show them good grades and say it is reward for doing a good job and you will continue to do well after you have had the phone.





You might need to realize one thing. When your parents were growing up they didn't have cell phones. So its hard to relate to them the significance of needing one at your age, now. You have to make your case by relating to them why they need their cellphones now. Ask them how difficult it would be if they didn't have the cellphones now. Then make your case. Good luck!
Make a list of why you need one. NOT why you want one. In case of emergency's etc. Maybe money is an issues or a contract for your parents. Ask for it for your B-day or some holiday. You must be respectful, and responsible.

Do not lie to your parents. Unfortunately if they say no then that usually means no and the best thing you can do is honour their wishes. If you were to lie about your whereabouts you run the risk of losing their trust completely and as a result then may stop you going out altogether. You are only 16 and whether drinking is involved or not is irrelevant, they only have your best interests at heart. They don't sound as though they are being unreasonable, as they have stated that they would not mind if it was closer. Maybe you and your friends could organise a night out somewhere closer to home and your parents might be happy for you to go when you are a little older. Show you are a mature young adult and obey what they say and they may just loosen their reigns abit and allow you to go.
you should ask them to sleep over at your friends house and then just go. Its not really lying. just stretching. If you can't, prove to them that it's safe and you're responsible enough. Introduce you're nicest, safest friend who can drive you there. Have all your friends convince them. OR have them all at your house at once and then have them leave to the night club and make them feel bad about it.
