How do I convince my parents to let me have a bird?

Okay so.....A friend of mine had 2 birds and they had babies and I became emotionally attached to one of them. I named her Lucy, and I adore her! The bird, cage, and the first bag of food is provided for free. I dont know if my mom has an issue because her bird was killed a few years ago. Even when my dad states his issue and I have a solution, he seems sure I haven't.

BTW I have tried showing them I'm responsible, I will continue to do that.How do I convince my parents to let me have a bird?
i had never had a pet before until this may...i had been bugging my parents to allow me to have a pet...eventually i wrote very long essays to my dad about how good pets are(hes a sucker for essays and good facts) thats basically all it needs...my birthday came in may and now im the proud 13 year old owner of 2 amazing budgiesHow do I convince my parents to let me have a bird?
See i have copied this article from net and you can also go through all other ones also to get an idea hw to convince ur parents .................

Having pets actually provide health benefites, say experts, as long as you're not allergic to animals or terrified of them. ';Pet ownership is good for your health both physically and psychologically,';

Sure, pets provide companionship and unconditional love. But research has shown that they can also help reduce stress and blood pressure in owners, increase longevity in those who've had heart attacks, and even relax and improve the appetites of Alzheimer's patients. ';Any disease condition that has a stress-related component to it, we believe pets could ameliorate stress and moderate the situation,'; says biologist Erika Friedmann, a professor at the University of Maryland School of Nursing. ';It's providing a focus of attention that's outside of someone's self. They're actually letting you focus on them rather than focusing inward on yourself all the time.';

.............................. and so on. Best of luck
Ask for a trial run.

See if your friend will let you ';try out'; the bird for a week or 2. Do a good job of caring for it to show you can handle havign the bird and hopefully your parents will get somewhat attached in the process as well.
try to write for them a persuasive letter about birds and tell them the advantages of having a bird and support them with facts

persusave means to make people do what u think about to agree with your point
i had the same pro but once we got my bird it made our house hold so much funner... tell ur dad that u need to learn how to look after a pet the hard way...he will let u have it
set the bird free. i'm an animal lover. it would come back to you if it likes u.
