Help! How do I tell my parents that I have depression?
Just get both your parents together and don't hold anything back. Tell them how you feel. Ask them if they would help you get treatment and just be very straightforward with them. Your parents will understand and just want to help you so don't be afraid to tell them. I hope everything works out. %26lt;3How do I tell my parents that I have depression?
I know how you feel, being in the same situation myself...even though my parents are doctors, I can't tell them...I disagree that your parents should know by know - some people are very good at hiding it.
As for telling them, if you don't want to do it directly, try and make your symptoms more obvious to them. they are bound to ask you what's wrong at some point...and when you say you don't know, after a while they will suspect it themselves and make you get help...
You might not want to wait that long, though...just tell them!
Just find the right timing to tell your parents about it, they will listen and they will understand you. Just explain clearly so they will understand what you're really going through and also you can try Vilift It's really a good product for depression.
Just be honest and call them together with yourself and explain what your feeling and that you think you have a chemical imbalance...Would they go with you to see your Doctor? Ask them and don't let yourself be embarrassed about something like this it isn't a persons fault
not easy, but all you can do is straight up tell them your depressed and you want help.
thats what i had to tell my parents.
i hope it works out.
I'm in the same situation. I did tell them and they just yelled at me and said that it would be a pre existing condition and the insurance wouldn't cover it. Which made it worse. Be careful and good luck.
just tell them that you have been feeling sad, and you have been sad before, but never like this... (: idk thats what happened to my friend, and she told them that. they might be more undrestanding then you think (:
If you are living at home with your parents, I imagine they already suspect as much.
If they have no realization of this, they can't be very astute.
take a few days off school and then they will ask you why you are not going to school, then tell them to contact your doctor and let your doctor explain to them how you are feeling.
I hope you have understanding parents. If so, I'm sure they would totally understand and want to help.
