Ok, so Muse is touring later this year and tickets go on sale soon, you would not belive how much I want to go, I've been a fan for about 5 years. The only thing is, I need to convince my parents to let me go. I've never been to a big 'rock' concert before, only classical music concerts (as me %26amp; both my parents are classical musicians :|)
I'll be 17 when the concert is (most likely).
Got any ideas on how I should bring this up with my parents?How can I convince my parents to let me go to a Muse concert?
have you got someone older to go with? if not just invent someone lol. what I would do is look into travel and accommodation for the gig(where is it you hope to go?) and have that all researched then bring the subject up and tell them how long you have been waiting for this. there are 14 year olds on Muselive going to gigs in the UK so you could mention that as they are 14+ gigs and the crowd is usually well behaved(sort of). it's worth pushing for as you will have the time of your life:) I've been saving up since Wembley (best weekend of my life so far) and have got tickets for 3 gigs in the UK-I now have to persuade my parents to look after my pets for 2 nights when I go to London:) If you aren't on Muselive already come and have a look-the atmosphere has been amazing the past few days! good luck and don't forget the tickets sell out FASTHow can I convince my parents to let me go to a Muse concert?
Here's one suggestion. Muse is mixing some classical music with their style for they're new album, so maybe you can tell your parents that since they only go to classical music concerts. Muse hired an orchestra and everything. I also suggest finding someone older to go with, since that's what I do. Hope you can go : )
So you're not sure if you'll be 17 on the date of the concert or not? If this is the case then maybe your parents are right not to let you go!
If you do want to go, assure them you'll be safe. You'll be contactable via mobile all night, got everything planned (travel and accomodation) and tell them it's your youth... to rnjoy
Bring the subject up regularly
And convince them the music Muse plays isnt so bad (Like language wise)
Give a big speech about how it will ';Be a once in a life-time event and it will shape your young life';
And see if you can go with a big group of friends
Find some friends to go with, will be safer
Only problem is you might have trouble getting tickets, they sold out UK wide in only 15 minutes, i was lucky as hell :) so now the only tickets you could get are like 拢90 on ebay.
get other people to go with you.
then let them know that you wont be alone and there's nothing to worry about.
tell them how much it really means to you.
and see if you can negotiate with them lol
that's what i always do.
Why wouldn't they let you go? Your almost an adult and it isn't like Muse has a histoy of a rowdy crowd. Plus, you can't really mosh at a Muse concert.
Just ask them if you can go, then if they say no go into the ';I'm almost an adult!!! I should be able to go to a concert!!!!!';
